National Allotments Week aims to promote the awareness and availability of allotments both locally and nationally and to show the public and the local authorities the strength of support and interest for the heritage of allotment culture.
To help stage this event the NSALG are asking Allotment Societies and Private Associations to:
- Open their fields to the public
- Arrange School/group visits to allotment sites
- Exhibit produce
Additional ideas will be most welcome. These can then be incorporated nationwide, working together across the country to make everybody aware of how good allotmenteering can be. Ask your local council for help and support. Promote any events as widely as you can. Let’s make it a week we can be proud of, and a successful annual event.
