On the Olympic theme, it’s all so topical, why not book a diary date to watch for our first chance of a gold medal in the cycling road race on 28 July 2012 when the ‘Manx Missile’, Mark Cavendish should be favourite to grab us a gold over a 150 mile course.

Trimetals is off to the Emerald Isle next week on 20 and 21 February to take part in Ireland’s biggest trade fair for the hardware and DIY sectors held at Dublin’s Citywest Convention  Centre. Just for starters, a motorbike is twice as likely to get stolen as a car and 80% of them are stolen from homes and represent a staggering 21.69 per cent of all vehicles stolen last year !

Here’s a reason to cheer up – the weather for Saturday is looking good. Time to get those cycles out of storage and give them a good spring clean. But not as tempting as getting the bikes out for a ride and making the most of the fresh air !
